Our Films for Food Packaging

Our Films for Food Packaging

Typical Applications for Packaging Films from ED Pack

Flexible Films

Our soft films combine the strengths of multiple materials to create a versatile, high-performance film. This combination is used in the packaging industry to ensure high barrier properties, flexibility, and strength.

Vacuum Bags

Our vacuum bags are special bags used to package products by removing air, thereby extending their shelf life, and protecting them from external influences such as moisture, dirt, and oxygen. These bags are mostly used in the food industry for meat and sausage products or cheese products.

Shrink Bags

Our shrink bags with oxygen barriers are a special type of shrink film that contracts tightly around the packaged product when heated, providing a snug, precise fit. These bags are mainly processed on artisanal chamber machines.

Shrink Films

Our shrink films — also with oxygen barriers — are special plastic films that change their size and shape when heated by contracting. This effect occurs because the molecular structure of the material is activated during heating, causing shrinkage. These films are supplied in rolls and processed on industrial packaging machines.

Laminated Films

Our laminates are composite materials made of several layers bonded together through a lamination process. In the packaging industry, laminates are used for printed films with interlayer printing or for specific requirements.

Rigid Films

Our rigid films are plastic films that exhibit higher stiffness and strength compared to softer films. They are made from various materials, polyester (PET), polypropylene (PP), polyethylene (PE), and EVOH (ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer). These films offer excellent mechanical stiffness and are particularly suitable for applications requiring stability and good barrier properties.

Skin Films

Our skin films are a special type of plastic film used in the packaging industry to package products securely and attractively. They offer excellent conformity and are sealed onto rigid films. The term "skin" comes from the fact that the film envelops the product like a “second skin,” providing optimal protection while keeping the product clearly visible.

Plastic Casings

Our plastic casings are specialized casings used in the food industry, particularly in sausage production. They serve as replacements for natural casings traditionally used for making sausages and other sausage products. Plastic casings are made from various plastic materials and offer many advantages over natural casings, especially in terms of hygiene, durability, and processability.
